Happy Monday, fools. Today we're gathering to celebrate the enigmatic and oft-misunderstood world of clowns in the most delightful way possible: through memes. How else would a site called Memebase show appreciation?  Now, you might be wondering, "Why on earth would anyone want to look at clown memes? They're creepy and give me nightmares!" And trust us, you're not alone in that sentiment. Deep-rooted fear of clowns, also known as coulrophobia, is actually pretty common. If it wasn't, maybe It wouldn't be so scary. Every now and then we have to wonder if that collective fear stems from recognizing a bit of ourselves in classic clown characters.

Clowns, and many of us non-clowns, are often just trying to put on a good show and bring smiles to people's faces. And like clowns, sometimes we don't do such a great job.
